About the Artist

Angela Noel is a pianist and a third-year Performance Diploma student majoring in Piano at the Nanyang Academy of Fine Arts (NAFA). As a performer, she is developing a strong musical identity rooted in classical piano performance, with a deep interest in expressive interpretation and collaborative music-making.

Angela’s formal musical training has been shaped by her studies at NAFA, where she receives rigorous instruction in piano performance, musicianship, and ensemble work. Her education emphasizes both technical discipline and artistic development, allowing her to engage deeply with a wide range of repertoire. Alongside her institutional training, she has benefited from guidance through workshops and performances, which have broadened her interpretive perspective and confidence as a performer.

Her repertoire spans the late Classical, Romantic, Impressionism and the works of the 20th century; with particular interest in composers like Beethoven, Chopin, Gershwin and J. S. Bach; whose works train pianists in balancing great musical maturity whilst maintaining stylistic awareness and periodicity. Angela approaches each work with careful attention to musical context, character, and the significance of the narratives flow in the climatic buildup. She is deeply interested in collaborative settings, valuing the dialogue that emerges between musicians in chamber music and accompaniment work.

At the core of Angela’s artistic approach is a belief that piano performance should be communicative and sincere. She views music as a form of storytelling and aims to connect with listeners through thoughtful interpretation, attention to detail, and expressive honesty. With discipline being the sole companion to success
